A Warren County jury returned a verdict Wednesday evening in the trial of Marty Lynn Judd, who was standing trial for first-degree murder of Rebecca Mooneyham and possession of an illegal weapon. The jury deliberated for three hours and found Judd guilty of 2nd Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
Mooneyham, was killed by a single gunshot through her living room window while she slept in her Lawson Mill Rd. home in August of 2009.
Investigators received an “innocuous tip” from an angle they hadn’t previously considered, and Judd was later arrested, 10 years after the shooting in 2019.
Marty Lynn Judd now awaits sentencing, that is planned for December.
