Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area (GIGCA) is teaming up with EPB and Dell Reconnect for an electronics donation drive on Friday, November 15, to honor America Recycles Day. With e-waste becoming the fastest-growing waste issue worldwide, Goodwill’s recycling efforts last year kept over 139,000 pounds of IT equipment out of landfills.
Michelle Turner, GIGCA’s Director of Marketing, highlighted that responsible recycling prevents toxic materials from harming the environment and promotes the reuse of resources like plastics and metals.
You can donate electronics, clothing, and household goods at any of Goodwill’s 18 donation centers across Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. Donations are accepted Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find details and learn about erasing device data at goodwillchatt.org.
